Freedom is a condition in which people have the opportunity to speak, act and pursue happiness without unnecessary external restrictions. Freedom is important because it leads to more expressions of creativity and original thought, increased productivity, and an overall high quality of life. An example is when the african americans couldnt have freedom because of there skin color.They coulnt drink out of the same water fountians as the whites.After many years later they fought for their freedom and got it because they stood up for thier rights.
